Oh, fair audience! Lend me your ears, for I have a tale to tell of love, war and destiny. A tale that has recently graced the silver screen in the form of the movie Qodrat.
This stirring film, which hails from Afghanistan, tells the story of a young man named Qodrat (played by the talented Qodratollah Qadiri) who finds himself caught up in the tumultuous events of his country’s history. Set against the backdrop of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan during the 1980s, we follow Qodrat as he becomes an unwitting participant in the violence and chaos that engulf his land.
But more than just a tale of war and strife, Qodrat is a story about love and hope. Alongside his fellow fighter and lover Leyla (Sediqa Rasuli), Qodrat must navigate treacherous terrain both physical and emotional as he seeks to carve out a better future for himself and those he loves.
